Patients on long-term medication can order repeat prescriptions in the following ways:
- In person/by post/by fax - tick the items you need on the right-hand section of your previous prescription form and leave it at reception or post it to us. If you prefer, we can post it back to you (you will need to provide a stamped, addressed envelope).
- Online – Please ask reception to register you for online services and issue you with your logon details. Please bring in proof of identity, eg driving licence, passport, or utility bill less than 3 months old.
- Please note - we do not issue prescriptions if they are requested too early unless in exceptional circumstances.
Unfortunately, due to medico-legal reasons we are unable to accept telephone requests for prescriptions.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
From 1st November 2018, due to workload pressures, please allow 72 hours (3 full working days) for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account. It may take longer if there is a query on your prescription.
Please check with your local pharmacy how long it takes them to process your prescription.
